Its intense flavour goes especially well with red meat, lamb and chicken dishes, as well as squid. It enhances the smoky taste of grilled meat and vegetables. Also goes well with bruschetta, hard cheese, tomatoes and cold sauces.
Moderately fruity, distinctly herbal with a hint of almonds, spicy bitter notes of medium intensity, aftertaste of pepper, almonds and artichokes.
